About us
Our mission is to support a sustainable energy future by empowering growth in the electric vehicle industry as one of the world’s largest producers of environmentally sustainable lithium
Demand for electric vehicles (EVs) continues
to rise
Increased demand for EVs has created an increase in demand for the raw materials required to build and power these vehicles.
Our 100% owned Grota do Cirilo project in Brazil will help bring more environmentally sustainable lithium concentrate to the global EV supply chain.
Since the inception of Sigma Lithium in 2012, ESG has been at the core of everything we do. We have consistently adhered to the highest standards in this area, from the preservation of regional ecosystems and our transformative social impact on local communities, to our passion for helping supply the global transition to electric energy.
Lithium is a key component of the lithium-ion battery used to power EVs
If these minerals are not mined sustainably,
it could undermine the environmental value of electrified mobility. That is why we are developing – as part of our ESG-focused strategy – one of the largest hard rock lithium projects in the world.
